Maybe I'll Be Back?

checking from the last post on my blog
it was dated June '13. wow

6 months have passed. and i still have yet to update this. i know anyone who goes here expects translation and stuff, and sure doesn't want to read things like this. but just to let you guys know why i'm.. uhh.. unable to do any translations this past few months.

  • played Divosaga for around 3 months (which in the end, i found pretty repetitive. one of the reasons why i stopped playing MMORPGs, aside from the need for cash)
  • last year in college (yeey~!), and graduation stuff/terminal sem stuff keeps on piling up (thesis, pre-board evaluations, thesis, harder subjects, thesis)
  • internet was unreliable for the late middle months this year (around August to early October) so it was kinda hard to look for translation material (the kanji stuff! kanjiii~!)

but anyway, if by next year my college load loosens up, i'll probably be back.
(had just looked at the comments page and found out i have two requests. it's.. it's.. really touching to find a comment there, and there are TWO! TWO! T~T)
or if not here, i'll be posting translations on my Facebook page. look it up (https://www.facebook.com/Kyo.Awasakura)

anyway, see you guys soon :)

sometimes i wish i could be carefree just like Muromi-san

Character of the Month June '13: Himawari Shinomiya

Himawari Shinomiya
from Vividred Operation

Himawari is the genius shut-in of the Vivid Team. Because of a certain incident in her past school, she shut herself in her room, using a camera to "attend" classes.

Vivid team's names have a connection with their color, and Himawari's name is the Japanese term for sunflower, which is of the color yellow.

Himawari's voice amuses me. I don't remember the kind of voice she has on other characters portrayed by her voice actress Aya Uchida, so I may yet review them again.

Why I chose her? Because her name is sunflower, and sunflower symbolizes the sun, which we need during the rainy month of June in our country! ... No, I just found her voice amusing.

--------------------------------------

On a side note, I realized I didn't post anything last month. I was finishing Tomatsu Haruka's Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun's OP Single: Q&A Recital and Nothing's Carved in Stone's Zetsuen no Tempest OP Album: Silver Sun, though I forgot to post it before the month ended. Will try to post later if the internet is doing ok. And maybe try adding an album of a currently airing series :3

Character of the Month May '13: Maid-chan

Maid-chan
from Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo

Maid-chan is the automated e-mail responder AI developed by Ryuunosuke. As Ryuunosuke is typically a shut-in, Maid-chan is the one responding to e-mails sent to him by members of the Sakurasou dorm, or whenever they have inquiries and Ryuunosuke is too busy to answer it.

In the later episodes, she was preventing Rita Ainsworth from being too close with Ryuunosuke, and was seen to have developed some.. bugs, regarding Ryuunosuke.

I chose her because.. she's cute. No, seriously, if ever I continued down the line with programming-related courses instead of engineering, maybe the likes of a Maid-chan AI would be the first one to be on the list of my projects.

..And maybe I chose her because she was voiced by Yui Horie.
